Lance Bissett to acquire the assets of Canadian Industrial Distributors

Vancouver, British Columbia – Lance Bissett is pleased to announce that, subject to certain
conditions and court approval, an agreement has been reached to purchase the assets and
operations of Canadian Industrial Distributors (“CID”) based in Brampton, Ontario. The Closing
of the Transaction is expected to be on May 25, 2015.

Lance Bissett is Western Canada’s leading wholesale distributor of pneumatic and power tools,
collated fasteners, and associated construction accessories for professional users. For more
than 80 years, Lance Bissett has delivered quality, superior service, and innovation in fastening
solutions for wood, concrete, or steel.

CID has been a leading national distributor in the Canadian industrial and construction market
since 1945. They enjoy a strong market presence, a reputation for quality and service, and are
widely recognized as great supplier to the industry.

The combination of the two companies will create a national platform servicing customers from
coast to coast with locations in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, and Nova
Scotia. The new, combined company will operate as CID Bissett Fasteners in the East and from
Manitoba west, will continue to operate as it has under the Lance Bissett name.
